DO I NEED TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT TO LOOK AROUND THE SITE?

Yes you do. We would be more than happy to arrange a convenient time for you to view our site and to see our storage units for yourself. It is always a good idea to visit our storage units to get a visual sense of the space you will be working with so please do not hesitate to give us a call and make an appointment to see our site. Why not call us now on 0161 976 2711.

DO I NEED INSURANCE?

We do not provide insurance and unlike other storage companies who sell compulsory insurance, we leave it to our customers to arrange their own insurance as you know what you are storing and its value. Should you need cover then Insurastore can provide you with insurance and they have already approved our site. Click here to visit their website.

CAN I PROVIDE MY OWN LOCK?

No, all our customers must take one of our CISA Logo 75 insurance padlocks. These high quality locks will cost you £30 of which £20 will be returned to you if the lock is returned when you leave.

CAN YOU RECOMMEND A MAN WITH A VAN?

Yes of course we can. Please follow this link to our Local Services page where we list local Man + Van removals companies.

WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?

Access is available 7 days a week between 6am and 9pm for customers. We purposefully don’t offer access outside of these hours as the site is locked down to make it as secure as possible.

HOW MUCH STORAGE DO I NEED?

It can be tricky to determine how much storage you need. To help with this, we have designed a quick guide so you can figure out the size of unit you need. Our units come in 6 sizes,

  • 6FT which gives 36 sq ft of space
  • 8ft which gives 56 sq ft of space
  • 10ft which gives 80 sq ft of space
  • 20ft which gives 160 sq ft of space
  • Plus indoor units from 200 sq ft up to 413 sq ft of space

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED MORE STORAGE?

At M60 Self Storage, we allow you to upsize or downsize units without any penalty. We simply apportion the differences in price on a daily basis. If you need more storage, simply let us know. If we have bigger or additional units available, we will happily discuss these with you so you can have access to more storage space. Equally, if you need to downsize your unit then we will be more than happy to arrange this for you.

IS THERE ANYTHING I CANNOT STORE?

There are certain things we cannot store. These are;

  • Toxic, polluted or contaminated goods
  • Firearms, munitions or explosives
  • Radioactive Materials
  • Flammable or hazardous goods
  • Living plants or animals
  • Cash or securities
  • Illegal goods
  • Waste
  • Food or perishable goods (unless approved by us in advance)
  • Fireworks
  • Alcohol
  • Solvents
  • Compressed Gas
DO YOU PROVIDE A MAN WITH A VAN OR HELP MOVING GOODS INTO A UNIT?

We don’t have our own man with a van and we’re afraid we don’t help move goods but there are some fantastic local companies we can recommend. Click here to visit our local services page to see who could help you.

CAN I DRIVE RIGHT UP TO MY UNIT?

Yes, the access into the site and up to the units is extremely convenient. You can drive your car right up to your unit to load and unload.

DO I NEED TO LET YOU KNOW IF I WANT TO COME AND ACCESS MY UNIT?

No, you are given a keyfob so you can access the site during opening hours and you don’t need to let us know. If you have any issues though, don’t hesitate to contact us.

DO YOU NEED TO KNOW WHAT I AM STORING?

We do need to have a basic idea of what it is you are storing as we are legally obliged to be aware of what is on our site and ensure that there is nothing illegal and there isn’t anything being stored that is listed on our prohibited goods list.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO LEAVE?

That’s fine. As long as you are past your minimum storage period of 1 month, there is no notice period. Just let us know when you wish to vacate your unit and all we ask is that you leave it clean, empty and in good condition.
